The Danish company's products connect B&O speakers to TVs of other brands

A group of former Bang & Olufsen people have created Neo TV as part of a product series that will give especially older B&O speakers new life together with e.g. modern TV screens.
B&O products play well together, but it can be a challenge to connect the Danish company's speakers to TV screens from, among others, LG, Loewe, Philips, Samsung and Sony. Another Danish company has that task, NeoMesteren, threw himself over.
"We are a bunch of passionate people who have all been employed at B&O or have developed products for B&O - we can't help but work with B&O products," says Rudi Pedersen, one of the people behind Neomesteren, for Flatpanels.
It is a different approach from the one taken by B&O, which has itself begun to open up for interaction with other TV brands. B&O currently sells the Beosound Stage sound bar and is expected to launch new later this month at the IFA fair, where Flatpanels will be participating.
Neo TV boxing
Neo TV is a small black box which is connected to the TV screen using an optical cable (toslink) and BeoLab speakers using an RJ45-to-PowerLink cable.
In this way, you can connect e.g. Beolab 3 and 4, 8000, 6000, Penta, 4000 and other B&O speakers. The box costs DKK 1.995.
The TV sound can be controlled with B&O's remote controls Beo4 or Remote One. Other B&O remote controls can also be used, but with limited functionality, it is stated.
A range of Neo products
Neo TV is part of a series of products from NeoMesteren. There are also Neo 7, which makes it possible to mount and connect TV screens from other brands to the BeoVision 7 floor stand and sound bar.
Neo Radio for DAB radio and record players will come after the summer holidays.
It is stated that the products Neo Convert and Neo Boost are under development, but the further details are not yet known.
