The BeoRemote One remote control is Bang & Olufsen's modern remote control for TV and music. BeoRemote One is used both with newer Bang & Olufsen products and as a replacement for Beo4 in many classic B&O setups.

The BeoRemote One remote control is available in two variants, which differ in the communication technology used.

BeoRemote One BT (Bluetooth + IR)

BeoRemote One BT is the current and most widely used variant. This version uses Bluetooth for controlling newer Bang & Olufsen products and infrared control for classic B&O products. BluetoothThe version provides two-way communication, allowing the display to show information from the connected product, and requires pairing upon initial setup.

BeoRemote One IR-only (older version)

The older BeoRemote One variant without Bluetooth was produced around 2014–2016. This version only supports infrared control and is primarily used with classic Bang & Olufsen systems. Today it is mainly seen on the second-hand market.

BeoRemote One and Beo4 remote control

BeoRemote One can in most cases replace the Beo4 remote control. Beo4 has a text display and many fixed buttons, while BeoRemote One has fewer physical buttons and a graphic display, where the functions change depending on the product being controlled. The operation is therefore more flexible and modern on BeoRemote One, while Beo4 is very direct and button-based.

Beo4 remote control uses infrared control and requires line of sight to the product. BeoRemote One can use both infrared control and Bluetooth, which means that line of sight is not required at Bluetoothconnection. Beo4 has a text display, while BeoRemote One has a graphical OLED display. BeoRemote One supports personal shortcuts via MyButtons, which is only possible to a very limited extent on Beo4.

BeoRemote One has MyButtons, which allow you to save personal favourites. A MyButton can contain a whole set-up, for example a specific TV channel, a fixed sound setting or a specific stand position. Once the set-up is saved, it can be activated with a single press.

Batteries and power

BeoRemote One uses 2 × AAA batteries of 1,5 V (alkaline). Bang & Olufsen does not recommend rechargeable batteries as they may cause unstable operation. If slow or imprecise operation is experienced, changing the batteries will often solve the problem.
