Neo Hub Retro™
Give classic B&O new life
Short description
Neo Hub Retro is designed to connect older B&O music systems – with passive speaker outputs – to modern active Beolab speakers. An elegant solution for those who want to preserve their vintage B&O sound source and enjoy it with contemporary sound quality.
Technical description
Neo Hub Retro allows you to connect a traditional B&O power amplifier (or any other amplifier with speaker outputs) directly to active B&O Beolab speakers via Powerlink.
It receives the signal from the Speakerlink output – a classic B&O standard with left, right and data channels – and adjusts the level internally. It is designed to handle output powers from 1 to 80 watts, making it extremely versatile and compatible.
The output is a standard B&O Powerlink 8-pin DIN connector, optimized for active Beolab speakers.

Neo Hub Retro makes it possible. The intelligent adapter connects the classic B&O amplifier with modern active speakers via Powerlink – without changing the expression, sound or soul of your setup.
It's nostalgia meeting innovation – when Danish audio heritage gets new life with the technology of the future.

Timeless sound. Timeless design. Timeless responsibility.
In this setup you see Beomaster 901 from 1972, designed by Jacob Jensen as a lighter and more modern successor to the iconic Beomaster 5000 from 1968. Here coupled with the legendary Beolab 8000 – also known as the pencil speakers – via Neo Hub Retro.
The result? A sound experience where classic B&O aesthetics merge with modern speaker power. Vintage in its most beautiful form – and a strong example of sustainability in practice.
With Neo Hub Retro you give new life to older equipment, extend the life of the products and minimizes electronic wasteExactly the mindset that Bang & Olufsen itself today highlights as a core value.
Neo Hub Retro – where Danish design, technology and responsibility go hand in hand.
